Bargaining Update #2

Your UAW Local 6000 Bargaining Team is scheduled to meet for the first time tomorrow with the Office of State Employer. Generally, the first day of bargaining involves the obligatory “handshake” with the Employer as well as introductions, scheduling future meeting dates and other logistical items.    Local 6000 is prepared to propose several non-economic Articles and Letters of Understanding to the Employer.

We will continue work on identifying portions of the Contract necessitating change based heavily on the Bargaining Survey results. 

In addition, our strength going forward is profoundly impacted by membership numbers, including reauthorization numbers.  If you have not yet reauthorized Union membership, please log into MiHR and reauthorize your membership until October of 2025.
