Serving as your Vice President has been an incredible journey, and I am eager to take the next step as your President. I have a proven track record in grievance, mediation, and arbitration handling and have successfully advocated for our members’ rights. My priority is to ensure that you feel heard and valued. My journey within our Union has been extensive, from being chair of the JEEECC (Joint Economic Employment Continuity Committee), where we successfully stopped outsourcing our jobs, to being a Steward at Large, a Local Representative, and most recently, Vice President. In my first 60 days as President, I will launch a comprehensive Union satisfaction survey to gather your insights on your Union experiences. This will help us identify what’s not working and build on our successes. I won’t just listen; I will take decisive action to address issues that matter to you. I am committed to making our Union more accessible, effective, and active. This is not about one individual. Our New Solutions 6000 slate will unite to create a strong, responsive labor organization. I will engage with key decision-makers, including the Civil Service Commission, the Governor, and the Legislature, to advocate for your needs and restore our stripped rights. Transparency and collaboration are essential. I believe in sharing information openly and valuing every member’s input in our decision-making process.
